How to book

We strongly recommend that hotel accommodation is booked early and will be happy to be of assistance in all matters concerning hotel reservations for the Congress.
Each participant will receive an individual confirmation, indicating the name and address of the hotel. Hotel reservations will be confirmed only after receiving a total payment of nights room charge, payable by credit card or bank transfer.
If hotel reservation is made by a sponsoring company, the participant will receive the corresponding hotel confirmation directly from the sponsoring company.

Important message for all congress attendees concerning transportation:
  • Please note that there will be no official transfers upon arrival/departure (Airport/Train Stations/Congress Venue/Official Congress Hotels).

Reservation Procedure:

  • All room bookings require full payment at the moment of booking. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you by E-mail, within five (5) working days from the day that both, the booking and the payment have been received. Should you not receive this confirmation in due time, please contact the official Travel Agency “Viajes Yacaré”.
  • All room bookings are considered valid only upon full payment of the total room cost and receipt of the confirmation.
  • The official Travel Agency “Viajes Yacaré” reserves the right, upon delegate’s agreement, to transfer the room reservation to a hotel other than the one initially selected, in case there are no rooms available.

At the time that you book your hotel reservation, you will be informed on the expenses in case of cancellation. 

Late arrival /early departure fee: If you arrive later or leave earlier than on the dates of your confirmed booking, the total accommodation amount will be charged and no refunds will be made. In the event of non-arrival, the reservation will be automatically released and full payment will be non-refundable.

Abstract Topics


When you submit your abstract, you must select one of the following Abstract Topics in which you want to include your abstract. If you do not see any Abstract Topic for your abstract, please click on “Others”.



Abstract Submission

Participants who would like to present poster or oral presentation must submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee.


Abstract should be submitted in English and arrive no later than Thursday, 11th June 2020 The Scientific Committee will determine whether abstract will be accepted as oral presentation or poster presentation. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Technical Secretariat. Only abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included in the final program and in the Abstract Book (PDF). Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the Website prior to the Congress. Abstracts should be submitted only using the online submission form, and directly through the Congress Website:  or the ESVM Oficial Website ( Preparation of Presentation Instructions for preparation of posters and presentations will be sent together with acceptance notifications.

How can I send an abstract?

Then, you get the steps to access “Abstract submission”:

  1. Click over the section “Abstracts”.
  2. Click over “Register to submit an abstract”.
  3. Fill in your data and choose a username and password for later access to your abstract.
  4. Click “Continue”.
  5. The abstract is already registered. Read the instructions that appear on the screen to see how you can “Edit” your abstract.

You can later access to this abstract to complete or modify it as many times as you wish until the deadline for the reception of abstracts. Here are the steps to be followed:

  1. Click over the section “Abstract”.
  2. “Access my abstract”, enter your username and password.
  3. Press “Enter.”
  4. You can edit and modify your abstract.
  5. Click “Submit” when you are completely sure that you do not want to change or add anything more.

Rules for Submission 
  1. At least one author from each abstract is expected to attend the congress and present the poster or oral presentation.
  2. The Abstract Submitter confirms that he/she previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. He/she accepts that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and that he/she is aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
  3. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent for publication (e.g. congress website, programs, abstract book, other promotions, etc.).
  4. The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights of all the information and content provided to ESVM-ASEMEVE Congress. The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third party rights including, but not        limited to, intellectual property rights.
  5. The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the content.
  6. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  7. The Abstract Submitter herewith confirms that the contact details saved in this system are those of the correspondence author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The correspondence author is responsible for informing the other authors     about the status of the abstract.
  8. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by Monday, 31st August 2020 will be scheduled for presentation and included in the Abstract Book (PDF).


Guidelines for Submission
  1. It is mandatory that the text contains the following sections: Objectives, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.
  2. The abstract submission should be done directly through the website of the 6tn ESVM Congress- 1st ASEMEVE Congress within the section “Abstract submission”. You will need to follow the instructions, filling out the form provided with your data and text     communication.
  3. Abstracts should be no more than 350 words (approx.).
  4. The graphics and tables, if any, should be included within the established format.
  5. You will use generic names of drugs, not trade names.
  6. Abstracts with a single clinical case will not be accepted unless the Scientific Committee deems relevant.
  7. For the presentation of abstracts it is essential that the first author is registered in the Congress.
  8. You may present more than one abstract as first author.
  9. In case there are several abstracts with the same first author, one of the other authors must be registered.
  10. All abstracts involve the registration of a different author.
  11. Abstracts will not be accepted via fax.
  12. There will be a maximum of 8 authors per abstract.
  13. The deadline for reception of abstracts through the website, for evaluation is 11th June, 2020.


Presentation at the Congress of the Abstracts Accepted
  1. As from 14th July, 2020, a list of accepted papers will be published at the Congress website: and
  2. Among all the accepted papers, a certain percentage will be selected for oral communications.
  3. The exposure of oral communications, will be made in Power Point, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes each (including discussion).
  4. The abstracts that are not accepted for presentation as oral communications, will be presented in Poster sessions.
  5. IMPORTANT: The Scientific Committee has decided that the posters will not be physically presented (paper). Poster Presentations by the authors, will be made in Power Point (maximum 3 slides) and will have 5 minutes for its presentation (3 minutes presentation plus 2 minutes questions/answers).
  6. We will have touch screens for the posters accepted, that can be viewed by any     attendee to the Congress.

Rules for poster presentation

IMPORTANT: The presentation will be twofold. On the one hand the poster sessions, in which the work will be presented in a Power Point presentation, and secondly, a permanent exhibition through touch screens available at the Congress venue for all the attendees. The presentation of the posters in sessions will be held in Power Point (3 slides without animation), with a maximum of 5 minutes (3 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for questions/answers), by projecting the slides on a normal screen. For display on touch screens, a single image in JPG will be used (which formerly served to create the printed poster). The files that are used for both presentation formats (JPG and Power Point), should be submitted online through the internet address:, starting by next 14th July 2020.  Once the accepted abstracts are published on the Congress website, you will receive detailed information regarding corresponding steps to be followed for submission of files. This information will also be available on the Congress Website ( and ESVM Oficial Website ( The deadline for submission of files is 25th September, 2020. Please send your files within that period, as no changes can be made on-site on the material sent for exhibition displays. Please note that it is mandatory to be registered at the Congress for the presentation of the posters.

Call for Case Reports: Would you like to share a challenging Clinical Case Report with your colleagues? As a young Angiologists you may submit a single case report through the Congress Website.


Submission of cases report


All accepted clinical case reports will appear on the Congress webpage and four interesting cases will be presented as interactive presentations during the ‘Clinical Gymnasium’ session.

The deadline for submission of Cases Report is Friday, June 11, 2020


  1. Only original cases report that have not been previously published will be accepted.
  2. A maximum of 8 authors may be included per Case Report.
  3. It is mandatory to indicate the name of the author who will present the clinical report.
  4. The first author of the clinical report must necessarily be registered in the congress.
  5. Maximum length of 350 words (approx.), without counting title, authors and affiliations.
  6. Case Report should be submitted in English and arrive no later than Thursday, 11th June 2020.
  7. The Case Report must be sent through the website It is mandatory to use the template for Case Report available on that website.
  8. The submission of the clinical report presupposes full acceptance of these criteria. The organization may reject clinical report that do not meet the standards set forth.
  9. Clinical report will have to be submitted by Young Angiologists.
  10. The evaluators will assess the clinical report without knowing the identity of the authors and their origin.
  11. A committee of experts made up of members of the Scientific Committee will choose four clinical reports that will be presented at the Young Angiologists Session.
  12. From July 14th, 2020, a list will be published with the clinical report that will be admitted for publication in the official book of Clinical Report of the Congress on the Congress website: and will be communicated personally to the authors of the four cases chosen for exposure in the Young Angiologists Session.
  13. The abstracts of the accepted Clinical Report will be published in an Official Book of Clinical Report that will be published after the Congress. Also, the certificates will be sent by email to the email address provided by the author who submitted the abstract.

The submission of a clinical case implies the transfer of rights and full acceptance of these rules by the authors and the consent for their publication in the documentation generated by the 6th Congress of the European Society of Vascular Medicine (ESVM) / 1st National Congress of the Association for the Study of Vascular Medicine in Spain (ASEMEVE) in any type of support.

Registration Desk

The Registration Desk wil have the following timetables:

Congress Language

The official language of the Congress is English. There will be no simultaneous translation.


Delegates will receive badges and vouchers for the booked events. Participants are kindly requested to wear their badge throughout the Congress, even at social events. Lost badges will not be replaced. A new registration will be mandatory.


For the presentation of abstracts (oral communication or poster) it is imperative that the first signatory is registered in the Congress. In case there are several abstracts with the same first author, one of the other authors must be registered.


Coffee will be served in the area of the exhibition.

Lunch will be at the Congress venue, being essential the presentation of meal tickets.

The Organizers will not be responsible for any injury to participants or damage, theft and loss of personal belongings. Participants should therefore make their own insurance arrangements.
